About Me

Hi! I’m Pattie, the owner and maker behind Clever Penguin. I work from my home studio in North Georgia as an artist, designer and printmaker. I also work part time as a website and logo designer.

My first love(s) as a very young girl were Snoopy, Woodstock, and Spike (in that order). I basically drew nothing but Snoopy since I was about 5 years old. In elementary school, some of my friends even called me Snoopy. When I was 7 years old, I wrote a letter to Charles Schultz and included my own Peanuts comic strip, only to receive a photocopied reply.

But I got over it. I think. My love for the maker behind The Peanuts may have faded, but my love for the illustration of animals, while giving them a humorous character never faded.

Over the years, I have enjoyed several creative outlets including illustration, illustrative painting on ceramics & furniture, illustrative graphic design, website design, logo design, and wall murals. I have a passion and a joy for designing and making things prettier or more fun & interesting.

From the time that my spiritual eyes were opened in 1995, the Lord of Heaven & Earth, His Creation, and all of His beautiful Truths are what essentially inspire me the most. I want to be glorifying to Him with and through my art, and I hope I can achieve that in some way. Even if it’s just by creating good art that people enjoy.

I have been practicing printmaking since 2020, and started this website in 2022 with the goal of creating artwork for those who, like me, love and enjoy non-persons with a personality.
